RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team tallied two wins Friday in the Greg Adams Center. First, the Colonels blanked Southern Indiana by a count of 7-0 before defeating Georgetown College in the nightcap, 6-1. With the two victories, Eastern evens its spring record at 6-6.

Senior Lars Gratzki, sophomore Johannes John, junior Mel Segota, junior Vadzim Ivanis and freshman Francisco Fontoura all won both of their singles matches in straight sets.

“I was happy with our level of play today,” EKU head coach Rob Oertel said. “It was good to get two wins under our belts and work on some of our weaknesses as well.”

Eastern Kentucky is now off until spring break when the Colonels travel to Florida for three matches the week of March 10.
