Austin Peay Downs EKU in Men's Tennis, 4-2

Freshman Alex Alvaro ended the year with five straight wins.
PADUCAH, Ky. – For the first time in five years, the Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team will not be playing in the OVC championship match as No. 2 seed Austin Peay downed the Colonels Saturday afternoon in the semifinals, 4-2. EKU concludes the season 13-13 overall.

Freshman Alex Alvaro (No .3), the OVC Freshman of the Year, and freshman Florian Graskamp (No. 6) were the only Eastern players to tally singles victories.

Austin Peay (16-3) won three singles matches in straight sets and also claimed the doubles point. The Govs will face No. 5 seed Belmont in the championship match tomorrow.
