Women's Golf Host EKU El Diablo

CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. – Eastern Kentucky University’s women’s golf team will host the EKU El Diablo on Thursday and Friday in Citrus Springs, Fla. The event will be contested at the par 72, 5,902-yard El Diablo Golf & Country Club.

The participating teams include Austin Peay, Barry, Belmont, Eastern Kentucky, IPFW, IUPUI, Lehigh, Murray State, Old Dominion, Southern Illinois, Southern Illinois Edwardsville, St. John’s, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate and Western Kentucky.

This is the third time the Colonels have served as the host for the event. Last year, Eastern (971) finished 11th among 15 teams. Ball State won the 2009 team title with a three-round total of 914, 13 shots better than second place James Madison (927) and Florida Atlantic (927).

On Thursday, the teams will play two 18-hole rounds beginning with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. Friday will feature one 18-hole round, also getting underway with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m.
