ONEONTA, Ala. –
Eastern Kentucky carded the fourth best score of the second round to move from 13th to a tie for eighth after 36 holes at the Samford Invitational at Limestone Springs Golf Club. The Colonels are within six shots of the top five.

Brian Fister moved into a tie for 21st after a second round one-under 71. His two-round total of 148 is four-over par. Billy Peel Jr. (149) is tied for 24th after an even-par second round 72.

EKU opened play with a first round 306 and then shaved 14 shots off in the second round for a 292.

Limestone Springs is a par 72, 7,000-yard course. The final round of the Samford Invitational will begin on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. ET.
