Macinsky Inks With Softball Program

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky Head softball coach Jane Worthington has announced the signing of shortstop Keri Macinsky to a scholarship agreement for the upcoming season.

Macinsky, who hails from San Leandro, Calif., comes to Eastern from Ohlone Junior College. She was a two-time First Team All-Conference selection during her career, and was a First Team JuCal All-State selection as a sophomore. Macinsky was also voted to the March Madness All-Tournament team twice and the Wolverines Classic All-Tournament team once. She was also named the 2005 team MVP.

During her career at California High School, she was named honorable mention All-EBAL in 2000 and Second Team All-EBAL in 2003. She was also named to the Queen of the Mountain All-Tournament team during her senior campaign.

“We feel very fortunate to have Keri coming to Eastern Kentucky,” said Worthington. “She will certainly give us depth in the infield next season and will greatly add to the competition we already have at those positions.”

Macinsky becomes the tenth softball player to sign with the Colonels for the 2005-06 season.
