On the plane
I don’t think that I have ever been so excited about traveling but couldn’t show it because my eyes were completely shut!!! I can’t keep them open at all and I honestly hope that I sleep all nine hours on the plane.

My teammates are all so funny right now. They are so sleepy and tired that they are delirious!!! Cazee laughed at this lady directly in her face because Andrea’s crazy self threw a bag of chips across the aisle and it hit her in his nose as she was eating her sandwich!!

The plane is so uncomfortable, I couldn’t sleep any longer than an hour. So now its only eight hours to go!! I hope that my batteries last! Coach Metten is knocked out and was just talking to Cazee and I like two seconds ago!!

The movie “The Lake House” is showing right now and Coach Richards keeps asking me 21 questions about every scene. Cazee is sleeping right now - I guess that Nyquil really worked.

In Honolulu
We are finally here and oh my goodness, its beautiful and steamy!! I think that I’ve set a new record for myself. I stepped off the plane and started to sweat in 0.2 seconds!! LOL!!

I’m so glad and fortunate to be here with all my teammates. This is a blessing and I am going to miss this kind of stuff next year. Its great to be so silly with all these wonderful ladies, especially the freshmen, they are all so special. I guess writing this has made me realize all these feelings!! I’m so excited to have fun, but know that we also have to focus on the reason that we came here, to win games!!

Well ... all I have to say is Aloha!!! :) My goodness, I've never had so much fun in my entire life!!! Pearl Harbor was so sad. I almost cried but I but I had to keep it cool you know and I can't be tearing up in front of all the girls. The most remarkable thing that I learnd about Pearl Harbor, or should I say the USS Arizona, is that the ship still leaks oil everyday and you t can actually see it in the water.

On a basketball note, for practice today, they stuck us in the sweatbox of a gym again. We seemed to have a better day though in terms of preparation for our games this weekend though.

I think that I may of busted a blood vessel tonight though ... Coach Inman got loose and lost his shirt for a couple of coconuts tonight!!! Whoooo!!! Hot tamale!!! He did a hulu dance on stage and seemed to throughly enjoy it!! LOL!!!

But nothing beats all of us going up there later and learning to do the hulu dance and trying to shake i bt fast for the booty shake dance!

All in all this was an great day at the luau and I still can't believe how beautiful this place is. I can't forget to mention Crystal and Nikki's crazy selves taking galmour shots on the beach with the palm trees ... beauty queens!!!

Good night everyone - I'm sleepy and have to get ready for the big game tomorrow!!!

Today we had a great opportunity to knock off another big name school, Georgetown. My teammates and I are still a little sour about the close game we had with Oklahoma but we're proud too. All I can say is I know they know who "Eastern Kentucky" is now.

At breakfast, we were very focused and ready for our battle with the Hoyas. The game started off kinda slow for us but we picked it up and took the lead for a while.

I think that we played our hardest from top to bottom but mental mistakes cost us the victory.

This loss has really put a bad taste in our mouths, especially knowing that we definitely had a shot to win. The good thing, or a postive note, is that we are closer together and we were a handful for 40 minutes ... yes, little ole EKU (all 10 of us).

We just have to take the positives and continue to grow TOGETHER but also work on the negatives.

Now it is time to hit the beautiful Hawaii streets and be a tourist since business is over!!

Today is our last day in Hawaii ... so sad. Already at 4 p.m., we've packed all types of activity into our day. We've all been on the beach swimming and looking good in our two pieces!

Some of us went shopping early in the morning (as soon as the shops opened) and we were ready to spend some money. Myself and some of the girls walked the main strip by Waikiki Beach and took plenty of pictures and ate outside, almost curbside.

Hawaii is most definitely someplace worth visiting at least once in one's lifetime There are so many different cultures and it is so amazing and beautiful. When you walk the streets, its just exciting in way that is hard to explain. Plus, every time we went out, people who recognized us from places (for example, the luau) woud talk to us.

All in all, I would love to revisit Hawaii and spend some more time learing its rich culture.

Bye diary, its been real!
