RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky women's golfer Leslie Booth recently qualified to compete for CJGA Team Canada in the second annual Stephen Ames Cup. The tournament, held July 26-28 at St. Andrews Golf Club in Moka, Trinidad features a competition between the top junior golfers, ages 14-21, from Canada and Trinidad & Tobago.

The three-day event will follow a Ryder Cup format and Canada's ten participants, six male and four female, qualified through the CJGA Nike Golf Junior Series events on the 2006 schedule.

The Stephen Ames Cup is supported by the Stephen Ames Foundation and Nike Golf Canada to promote goodwill and sportsmanship in the game of golf between the two countries. Last year, Team Canada captured the title by a final score of 10 - 6.
