In his first start for Falmouth, the two-time All-OVC selection struck out seven to lead the Commodores to their first victory of the 2007 summer season.
The southpaw led the conference in ERA (2.09), opposing batting average (.155), strikeouts (101) and strike outs per nine innings (11.1) which ranked 14th in the nation.
He also allowed only eight extra-base hits this season for Eastern while compiling a record of 5-4. The Evanston, Ill. native allowed a league-low 44 hits in his 81.2 innings of work and picked up the victory with 7.0 shutout innings in the Colonels 5-2 victory over Murray State in the OVC tournament.
