Each season Eastern Kentucky plays some of the best teams in the nation. In recent years, the Colonels have faced off against Arkansas, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

EKU has also paricipated in the Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, the Legends Classic and the CBE Classic.

In 2013-14, the Colonels will play games against North Carolina State, VCU and Wisconsin.
