2013 Scouting Report – Has played a variety of positions in his time at EKU … moved to wide receiver in the spring … one of the best all-around players on the team.

At EKU – 2012: Played in 10 of 11 games as a reserve defensive back … also utilitzed on special teams … piled up four stops and a pass break-up in the win over Morehead State on Sept. 8 … chipped in with two tackles at Tennessee Tech on Oct. 20. 2011: Had to sit out the season due to NCAA transfer rules … named the team’s Offensive Future of the Year.

At Bethune-Cookman – 2010: Played in seven games as a defensive back … made 10 stops. 2009: Saw action in one game as quarterback … completed 2-of-5 passes for 40 yards against Norfolk State.

High School – Set program records for passing yards, rushing yards, touchdowns and wins at Pine Ridge High … earned second team all-state and first team all-area honors as a senior … named a Central Florida All-Star … posted 1,500 passing yards and 20 touchdowns to help Pine Ridge finish 9-1 in 2008.

Personal – Son of Jose and Patti De La Cruz … born on Dec. 12, 1989.
