2012-13:

Earned first team All-OVC honors by finishing fourth at the OVC Championships in an 8K time of 24:36.38, helping the EKU men capture their seventh consecutive conference title … replaced an injured Ben Toroitich at the NCAA Championships, finishing 233rd at the premiere event in college cross country with a 10K time of 32:35.2 … recorded his best 8K time of the regular season at in the black race of the NCAA Pre-Nationals, finishing 31st overall in 24:56.9.
Track and Field – Named the OVC Male Indoor Freshman of the Year, and backed up that award by finishing second in the 800 meters (1:51.84) and third in the mile (4:11.88) at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships … earned OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week honors on Jan. 30 after running a personal-best time of 4:05.31 in his first-ever attempt at the mile at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet … also ran a PR of 8:16.38 in the 3,000 meters during the indoor season … was again named the OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week in April, this time for winning two events at the Bellarmine Invitational … won the 1,500 meters at that meet with a PR of 3:48.37 and the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.07 … was shut down due to injury before the OVC Outdoor Championships rolled around.

High School Accomplishments: A relative newcomer to running, who first became involved in competitive running in 2010 ... prior to that, had been involved in martial arts, specifically taekwondo ... in his first season as a runner, set personal records in the 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters of 3:52.75 and 14:50.95, respectively ... after sitting out the majority of the 2011 track season with an illness, earned a spot on the Danish National Cross Country Team ... in his first international level cross country meet, finished 3rd at the 2011 Nordic Junior Cross Country Championships (one second behind fellow Colonel Jeppe Harboe) ... less than two months later, established himself as one of Europe’s best junior cross country runners when he finished 13th at the 2011 European Junior Cross Country Championships ... his 13th place finish is the second best ever by a Colonel, behind only Soufiane Bouchikhi’s 11th place finish in 2009.
