Biography
2012-13:
Cross Country- Placed 21st out of 86 competitors at the OVC Cross Country Championships with an 8K time of 25:29.53 … helped lead the EKU men’s ‘B’ team to a win in the blue race of the Greater Louisville Classic with a 25th place finish in a time of 25:30.78 … ran his best 8K of the fall in the black of the NCAA Pre-Nationals when he finished 52nd in a time of 25:14.9.
2011-12:
Cross Country - Placed ninth at the OVC Cross Country Championships with an 8K time of 26:05.21 and earned second team All-OVC honors for the second consecutive season.
Track and Field – Sat out the indoor season due to injury, but emerged as a factor during the outdoor season, scoring points with a third place finish in the 10,000 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a personal-best time of 31:35.03 … then posted a personal-best time of 14:49.40 in the 5,000 meters at the Cardinal Twilight Classic two weeks later.
2010-11:
Cross Country - Earned second team All-OVC honors after finishing 12th at the OVC Cross Country Championships with an 8K time of 26:13.29 … placed 173rd out of 231 runners at the Southeast Region Cross Country Championships with a 10K time of 34:40.0.
Track and Field - Finished seventh in the 5,000 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 15:12.28 … recorded personal bests in the outdoor 5,000 meters (14:53.74) at the Indiana Polytan Invitational and the outdoor 1,500 meters (4:13.33) at the N.C. State Raleigh Relays.
Prior to EKU: A transfer from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda … a medalist at the National University Games in track and field ... finished sixth at the East African University Cross Country Championships … was named to Uganda’s 2010 World University Cross Country Team that was scheduled to compete in Kingston, Ontario … the team was unable to compete due to factors outside the control of the Ugandan athletes and coaches … has run a personal best time of 14:22 in the 5,000 meters.
