Larson was a three-sport athlete at Pine Island High School in Pine Island, Minn., collecting three letters in basketball as a guard for head coach Jim McNamara, two letters in golf under head coach Mark Moran, and one letter in baseball for head coach Don Drozen… played baseball as a freshman before transitioning to golf, but lost his sophomore season due to the COVID-19 pandemic… delivered a 72.2 scoring average as a junior, collecting individual medalist honors at the conference championships… as a junior, turned in a runner-up showing in the section championships before advancing to the MSHSL 2A State tournament and placing ninth overall while leading Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa to a fifth-place showing… earned All-Conference First Team, All-Section First Team, and All-State Second Team accolades as a junior… as a senior, placed third individually in the MSHSL 2A State championship while leading PIZM to its first-ever state title… also led his program to it second straight conference and section titles… picked up All-Conference First Team, All-Section First Team, and All-State First Team honors as a senior… named team MVP twice.
