Brandon Olden was hired as an assistant coach for track & field and cross country in July 2024.

Before coming to EKU, Olden received his Undergraduate degree in Finance from Siena University, where he competed in cross country and distance events for four years. While there, he broke the school record in multiple events, including the Mile, 3000m (2x), 1500m (2x), 5000m, 10,000m, and men's 6K. He also qualified for the NCAA regional championships in both cross country and outdoor track.

After Siena, Olden transferred to Tennessee to pursue a Masters degree and continue competition. At Tennessee, he finished 17th in the SEC Cross Country Championships and made appearances in the NCAA South Regional and National Championship. On the track, he recorded the fourth-best time in school history in the indoor 3000m and 5000m. He also finished fifth-place in the outdoor 5000m at the SEC Championships.
