Played in 44 games and started 39 times … limited to 11 starts behind the plate due to an injury … started 27 times as the designated hitter and once in right field … hit .259 with 18 runs and a team-high 27 RBIs … was 3-for-4 with a double, a run and four RBIs against Bellarmine (March 16) … had a 3-for-4 game against Lipscomb (April 11) … was 2-for-2 with a walk and three RBIs at No. 17 Louisville (April 29) … College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District … Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2024
Appeared in 42 games and started 36 times … made 33 starts behind the plate … hit .238 with five home runs, 20 RBIs and 13 runs scored … in the first at bat of his collegiate career, led off the second inning with a double to right center at No. 15 Auburn (Feb. 16) … first career home run came against Oakland (Feb. 23) … had a 2-for-3 game with a home run, a run scored and two RBIs against Stetson (March 28) … in the 3-game series at Austin Peay, hit .600 (6-for-10) with a double, a home run, six RBIs and a run scored … went 2-for-3 with a home run, a run and three RBIs against APSU (April 27) … capped series at Austin Peay (April 28) with a 3-for-4 performance with an RBI … had a 4-for-5 game with a run and an RBI against Bellarmine (May 3) ... Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL
Earned all-state honors as a senior in 2022 at Rockcastle County High School … also named all-district and all-region after hitting .433 with four home runs and posting a 1.42 ERA in 64 innings pitched … picked up all-district recognition after hitting .333 and striking out 88 batters on the mound as a junior … played in the KHSAA East-West All-Star Game after his sophomore season.

Full name is Silas Mullins Shaffer … son of Mikhael and Callie Shaffer … has one brother – Corey, and two sisters – Celia and Clara … his dad Mikhael played collegiate baseball at Lindsey Wilson College … plans to major in business.
