Kevin Tobias begins his second season as EKU’s graduate assistant coach after serving four seasons with the volleyball program as a student-assistant.
In May 2008, Tobias was selected by USA Athletes International to play for the men’s team in the Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament in Perth, Scotland. He helped the team go 5-0, beating the Scottish National Team in the finals.
As a high school player at Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Tobias helped the Crusaders capture back-to-back Ohio Division I boy’s volleyball state championships in 2004 and 2005.
Tobias was an outside hitter and a right side for the Crusaders while earning four letters. He also played soccer at Moeller High. His sister Karen was a libero for Maryville College in Knoxville, Tenn.
Tobias earned a degree in communication with a minor in homeland security in December 2009. He is seeking a master’s degree in safety, security and emergency management with an option in homeland security.
