Biography
2011-12:
Cross Country - Finished sixth on the team and 28th overall at the OVC Cross Country Championships with a season-best 5K time of 19:21.15.
Track and Field - Ran an 11:46.80 in the indoor 3,000 meters at the Kentucky Invitational before the rest of her track and field season was cut short by injury.
2010-11:
Cross Country - Placed 37th out of 319 competitors at the Wilmington College Fall Cross Country Classic, covering the 5K course in a time of 19:51.30 … finished 29th out of 70 runners at the Western Kentucky Old Timer’s Cross Country Classic, completing the 5K course in a time of 20:32.20.
Track and Field - Scored points at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a seventh-place finish in the 5,000 meters (18:54.03) and an eighth-place finish in the 3,000 meters (10:49.54) … also contributed at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters (18:38.23).
High School Accomplishments: Was the Kentucky state champion in the 1,500 meters … named first team all-state in the 4x800 meter relay, 800 meters and 5,000 meters during multiple years.
Personal: Daughter of Clay Dollins and Paula Dollins … major is undeclared … Laura’s best non-athletic talent: her cat-like reflexes.
