Freshman goalkeeper Zoe Aguirre has made an instant impact on the EKU soccer team.

The native of Corona, California has been voted the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week twice already this season. She recorded her first career shutout in the 1-0 win over three-time defending MAC West champion Ball State on August 24, and then made six saves in EKU’s first-ever win over Kentucky on September 2, a 1-0 clean sheet in Lexington. 
 
As of September 5, Aguirre is tied for the OVC lead in shutouts (two) and ranks second in goals-against-average (0.67).
