Postseason Honors Continue For Stephen Carter

Former Eastern Kentucky University outfielder Stephen Carter continues to receive postseason accolades after earning honorable mention All-American honors from CollegeBaseballInsider.com.

Carter was named OVC Player of the Year after ranking among league leaders in six offensive categories this past season. The Louisville, Ky., native led the conference and ranked among national leaders with a .462 batting average, tallying 28 multiple-hit outings while posting an OVC-best .546 on-base percentage. The leftfielder also topped the OVC with 21 stolen bases in 30 attempts (.700) and recorded a .541 slugging percentage, pounding out 14 doubles and a home run among 82 hits while collecting 99 total bases. In addition, the first-team All-OVC pick drove in 41 runs and scored 50 more.

Carter was named to the Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I All-American Third Team earlier this month.
