CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Eastern Kentucky volleyball team recorded a 3-0 (30-28, 30-26, 30-26) victory over Austin Peay this evening in Clarksville to extend its OVC win streak to six straight. The Colonels improve to 15-12, 8-5 in the conference while the Lady Govs drop to 3-22, 1-12.

Senior Kelly Jennings tallied her second consecutive triple-double with a 10-kill, 41-assist, 10-dig performance. Classmate Jessica Sabath led the Colonels with 14 kills while junior Brittany Nobilio added a match-high 26 digs.

Austin Peay held the advantage in game one, taking as much as an eight point lead (18-10) before the Colonels pulled ahead at 26-25. A kill from Sabath gave Eastern the two-point win at 30-28.

Game two was close with neither team able to extend its lead past two points. The Colonels took a 28-24 lead before claiming the four-point victory.

After trailing 7-0 in game three, Eastern Kentucky fought back and earned the conference win.

Ashley Genslak led the home team with 16 kills.

The Colonels face Tennessee State tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
