RICHMOND, Ky. - Freshman Liza Kelley recorded a career-high 14 digs tonight as the Eastern Kentucky volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (30-9, 30-16, 30-16) loss to Southeast Missouri State in McBrayer Arena.  The Colonels drop to 8-9, 1-2 in the OVC while the Redhawks improve to 8-8, 2-1 in the conference.  
Senior Kelly Jennings led the Colonels, who were playing without four starters, with 18 assists while sophomore Bridget Mustard paced the team with eight kills.  Freshman Abbey Blank also finished with double-digit digs with 11.
The Redhawks jumped to a quick 10-4 lead in game one and never looked back, finishing with zero attack errors and a hitting percentage of .625.
In game two, Southeast Missouri State took its first double-figure lead at 20-10, in the midst of a 6-0 scoring run, before coasting to the 14-point victory.
In the final set, the Colonels took their only lead of the match at 2-0 off consecutive Redhawk mistakes.  Eastern Kentucky kept the game close, staying within three points, until Southeast Missouri State used a 10-4 run to widen the gap and then ended the match with a win off a Colonel attack error.  
Brenna Schlader led the Redhawks, who recorded a .400 attack percentage, with 13 kills.
Eastern Kentucky returns to action tomorrow night, hosting Eastern Illinois at 7 p.m.
