KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Junior Amanda Wilson registered a game-high 18 kills to lead the Eastern Kentucky volleyball team to its first victory of the 2007 season, a 3-0 (30-26, 30-12, 30-23) victory over Chicago State on Saturday afternoon in the final match of the Clarion Classic. Eastern fell to IPFW, 3-0, in its first match of the day.
Wilson had a hitting percentage of .371 for the Colonels who held Chicago State to a -.007 hitting percentage.
Freshman Leah Nelson tallied 15 kills for Eastern and senior Brittany Nobilio had a game-high 23 digs. Nobilio was the lone Colonel named to the all-tournament team.
The Colonels return to action on Tuesday, traveling to take on Kentucky at 7 p.m.

Senior Brittany Nobilio had a game-high 22 digs and junior Amanda Wilson had a team-best 12 kills but it wasn't enough as the Eastern Kentucky volleyball team fell in three games (30-22, 30-26, 30-26) to IPFW on Saturday afternoon in the first match of day two at the Clarion Classic.
Freshman Leah Nelson tallied 11 kills for the Colonels (0-4) and junior Ashley Bayer registered a double-double (10 kills, 11 digs).
Jessica Miller led IPFW with the 15 kills while Rebekah Roehm led the Mastodons with 18 digs.
