Colonel Volleyball Ends Road Trip With 3-1 Loss At Southeast Missouri

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Eastern Kentucky’s volleyball team fell 3-1 today to Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The Colonels (1-15, 0-6 OVC) fell behind 2-0 before winning game three but the Redhawks (8-9, 4-3 OVC) closed out the match with a win in game four.

Game scores were 30-23, 30-27, 21-30 and 30-25.

Amanda Wilson led Eastern with 18 kills and posted a .350 attack percentage. Freshmen Amanda Fago and Leah Nelson finished with 17 kills each. Freshman Kate Hendle totaled 57 assists. Senior Brittany Nobilio finished with 30 digs.

Three Redhawks posted double-doubles. Karleigh DeLong tallied a match-best 20 kills and 14 digs, Aubrey Dondlinger produced 15 kills and 13 digs, and Alyssa Aston notched 52 assists and 10 digs. Molly Davis added 19 digs.

The Colonels will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Cookeville, Tenn., to face Tennessee Tech at 8 p.m.
