LEXINGTON, Ky. – Host Kentucky defeated the Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team in three games Tuesday night, 30-11, 30-19 and 30-21. The Wildcats improve to 7-1 while the Colonels fall to 1-5.

Junior Amanda Wilson led the Colonels with nine kills and three blocks. Fellow junior Bridget Mustard and freshman Leah Nelson combined for 10 putaways.

Kentucky’s Queen Nzenwa paced all players with 12 kills and a .750 attack percentage while Nicole Britenriker added 11 putaways.

The Colonels are back in action this weekend at the Golden Bear Invitational. Eastern will take on nationally-ranked Minnesota and host Cal as part of the two-day tournament.
