Volleyball Overcomes 2-0 Deficit, But Can't Complete Comeback

Eastern Kentucky’s volleyball team fell behind 2-0, came back to tie the match at 2-2, but couldn’t complete the comeback against Ohio Valley Conference leader Tennessee Tech on Saturday.

Game scores were 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 24-26 and 15-7.

Junior Lindsey Loescher led the Colonels (5-19, 4-10 OVC) with 20 kills and a .254 attack percentage. Senior Amanda Wilson finished with seven kills and six blocks.

Leah Meffert posted a match-high 26 kills and hit .423 for the Golden Eagles (15-9, 12-2 OVC). Caitlin Bullock and Marie Peddicord totaled 15 and 10 kills respectively. Kappy Lang contributed 56 assists and 10 digs.

The Colonels will be back in action on Tuesday when the visit Southern Illinois Edwardsville for an 8 p.m. match.
