RICHMOND, Ky. – Former Eastern Kentucky University track star Dallas Robinson was the subject of a recent New York Times feature titled “Great Set of Wheels for Olympic Hopeful.” The article documents Robinson’s dream of competing in the Beijing Olympics this summer, and the abnormal road he’s taking to reach that dream.

In January, Robinson won the 60 meter dash at the Kentucky Invitational with a time of 6.64 seconds – the eighth fastest time in the country. The article also confirms that, in just the past two months, Robinson has run some of the fastest 55 and 60 meter times in the world.

Robinson’s name is scattered around the EKU track record books. In 2004, he ran the second fastest outdoor 200 meter time in EKU history (21.04), and in 2005, he ran the fastest indoor 200 meter time in the school’s history (21.35).
