LEXINGTON, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky’s volleyball team dropped its final two matches at the University of Kentucky Invitational on Saturday. EKU lost 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-15) to UK and 3-0 (25-6, 25-16, 25-18) to Indiana.

Senior Amanda Wilson led the Colonels (1-8) with nine kills and two blocks against Kentucky (8-2). Fellow senior Bridget Mustard added eight kills. Freshman Jill Henneman contributed 25 assists.

A pair of Wildcats, Sarah Mendoza and Lauren Rapp, finished with 11 and 10 kills respectively.

Newcomer Lindsey Loescher led Eastern Kentucky with 12 kills against Indiana (6-3). She posted a .250 attack percentage and added seven digs.

Ashley Benson and Erica Short recorded 16 and 15 kills respectively for the Hoosiers.

The Colonels will begin Ohio Valley Conference play on Friday when they travel to face Southeast Missouri State University. The match is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. (ET).
