Volleyball Losses Another Close Match, Falls To Indiana & Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio –
Eastern Kentucky’s volleyball team lost another close match, this time to Indiana, in the first match on Saturday at the Hampton Inn Invitational. Two of the three sets against the Hoosiers (6-2) were decided by three points, the other was a four-point margin. The Colonels (0-9) lost 3-0 later in the day to Ohio University (6-2).

Set scores versus Indiana were 25-22, 25-21 and 25-22. The scores for the match against Ohio were 25-13, 25-17 and 25-20.

Three Colonels recorded 10 kills against Indiana. Lindsey Loescher had 10 kills and eight digs. Lauren Snyder had 10 kills and six digs. Autumn Harms added 10 kills.

Hannah Groudle led EKU with nine kills against Ohio. She made just two errors in 17 attacks for a .412 hitting percentage. Harms added four blocks against the Bobcats.

The Colonels begin conference play on Friday when they travel to face Tennessee-Martin. EKU and the Skyhawks will play at 8 p.m. ET. On Saturday, Eastern will face Murray State at 3 p.m. ET.
