Volleyball Falls At Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. –
Eastern Kentucky saw its five match winning streak come to an end on Friday night with a 3-0 loss at Jacksonville State University. The Gamecocks won by scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-20.

The Colonels (8-12, 7-4 OVC) totaled just 29 kills and a .131 attack percentage. JSU (12-9, 7-3 OVC) had 48 kills and a .223 hitting percentage.

Senior Lauren Snyder led EKU with nine kills. Freshman Robyn Hench finished with 25 assists and two block assists.

Caitlin Vorbeck and Jen Meyer led Jacksonville State with 13 and 12 kills respectively. Vorbeck hit .393 with three block assists.

The Colonels cap a stretch of four straight road matches on Saturday at Tennessee Tech. The match in Cookeville is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
