MARTIN, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team capped its 2010 regular season with a 3-0 loss at Tennessee-Martin. The Colonels (11-17, 9-9 OVC) will play in next week’s Ohio Valley Conference tournament. The Skyhawks (6-24, 4-14 OVC) entered the day tied for last in the league, but end their 2010 season on a positive note.

Set scores were 25-19, 25-20 and 25-19.

Senior Autumn Harms and freshman Ashley Edmond led the Colonels with seven kills each. Harms also had three blocks. Senior #Abby O’Connor# added a match-best 19 digs.

Ashley Doherty recorded 14 of UTM’s 38 kills. She made only three errors in 25 attacks for a .440 attack percentage. Britany Wilburn had a match-best four blocks and Jenna Miller led all players with 31 assists.
