RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky’s volleyball team lost 3-0 to Morehead State on Thursday night at McBrayer Arena. The Eagles posted a .303 attack percentage, finishing with 50 kills and 17 errors. The Colonels had only 33 kills and 19 errors for a .135 attack percentage.

Set scores were 25-20, 26-24 and 25-14. EKU drops to 10-15 this season and 9-7 in OVC matches. Morehead State has clinched to 2010 OVC regular season championship. The Eagles are 21-7 overall and 15-1 in league play.

Holly Evans led MSU with 15 kills. She made only two errors in 25 attempts for a .520 attack percentage. Kaitlin Craven totaled 13 kills with a .400 attack percentage. Emma Keogh had four blocks for the visitors and Kirstie Brangers contributed 38 assists.

Freshman Ashley Edmond’s 13 kills led the Colonels. Senior #Abby O’Connor# finished with a match-best 17 digs.

Eastern Kentucky will play its final home match of the season on Saturday against Southern Illinois Edwardsville at 2 p.m. Six Colonels will be honored before the match as part of Eastern’s Senior Day activities.
