MOREHEAD, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky lost 3-0 to rival Morehead State Thursday night in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball match. The Eagles won by scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-17.

The Colonels (3-11, 2-3 OVC) were led by Ashley Edmond’s nine kills. The freshman made only three errors in 25 attacks for a .240 attack percentage. She also had 10 digs and a block assist. Senior Autumn Harms had six kills to go along with a .364 hitting percentage.

Kaitlin Craven’s 11 kills led Morehead State (11-6, 5-0 OVC). With just one error in 28 attacks Craven posted a .357 attack percentage. Emma Keough finished with eight kills and a .538 hitting percentage.

MSU out-hit Eastern .229 to .120.

The Colonels will have the weekend off of game action. Next up for EKU is a home match on Tuesday against Austin Peay at 6 p.m.
