RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team concludes the first half of the OVC season Saturday afternoon at rival Morehead State. ESPNU is televising the game beginning at 1 p.m.

Eastern Kentucky (10-9, 4-4 OVC) will be looking to tally its fifth consecutive road victory Saturday, a feat the Colonels have not accomplished since 1965. However, Morehead State (12-7, 5-3) has had EKU’s number the last few seasons as the Eagles have won six of the last seven meetings.

EKU’s defense has been a key factor in the current winning streak. Over the last three games, the Eastern defense has allowed just 50.3 points per game. Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State rank first and second in the OVC in scoring defense. Morehead State allows 61.2 ppg while the Colonels are right behind at 62.3 ppg.

Morehead State currently owns a 24-game home winning streak and a 22-game conference home winning streak. Both of those streaks are among the longest in the nation.

Storylines
--Senior Justin Stommes reached 1,100 career points Tuesday at SIUE by finishing with a team-high 17 points. It marked the second time this season Stommes had led the team in scoring. Last year, the guard led the team in scoring 14 times.

--Senior Josh Daniel posted a team season-high and a career-high 13 rebounds against SIU Edwardsville on Tuesday. Daniel’s previous rebounding high was six boards.
