RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team begins a stretch of five straight home matches on Friday against Southern Illinois Edwardsville.  The match at McBrayer Arena is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

After winning five of six matches, the Colonels (11-13, 6-7 OVC) went on the road and lost four straight.  SIU Edwardsville (10-16, 5-9 OVC) enters the weekend having won three of its last four. 

On Saturday EKU will host Eastern Illinois (8-17, 5-9 OVC) at 2 p.m.

Eastern Kentucky currently sits in fifth place in the OVC standings.  The top six teams at the end of the season advance to the conference tournament.  SIUE and Eastern Illinois, along with Austin Peay, are tied for eighth.

The Colonels are 4-1 this season at home.
