EKU Volleyball Comeback Bid Falls Short In 3-2 Loss At Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. –
Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team fell behind 2-1, battled back to tie the match and led 11-9 in the fifth set but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 3-2 loss at Tennessee Tech on Friday night.

The Golden Eagles won by scores of 26-28, 25-21, 25-15, 17-25 and 15-11.

The Colonels (14-16, 9-10 OVC) were led by Ashley Edmond's 21 kills.  Freshman Alexis Plagens added 14 kills and freshman Hannah Burkle contributed 11 kills.  Freshman Dena Ott finished the night with 33 digs.

Kelsey Gray led TTU (5-24, 4-15 OVC) with 15 kills.

The Colonels will conclude the regular season on Saturday at Jacksonville State.  The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
