JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky ended the 2011 regular season with a 3-0 loss at Jacksonville State.

EKU will play in next week’s Ohio Valley Conference tournament in Morehead.  The fifth seeded Colonels will face fourth seeded Southeast Missouri State at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The Gamecocks won by scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-16.

The Colonels (14-17, 9-11 OVC) were led by Alexis Plagens with 12 kills.  Toni Michalski added four kills and a team-high three blocks.

Hivya Leite posted a match-high 16 kills and a .444 attack percentage for Jacksonville State (11-19, 9-11 OVC).
