RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team heads to the East Coast Sunday to face Norfolk State. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
EKU is 1-0 all-time against Norfolk State thanks to a 67-60 win over the Spartans in the 2005 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. That victory was the first for
Jeff Neubauer as head coach of the Colonels. Eastern Kentucky is 2-0 under Neubauer against teams from the MEAC.
Norfolk State is 3-2 overall following another trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands to participate in the Paradise Jam. The Spartans advanced to the championship game after wins over Drexel and TCU. Norfolk State nearly won the title, but fell to Big East member Marquette by just two points, 59-57.
After taking on Norfolk State, the Colonels continue its East Coast swing against Delaware State on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
