DOVER, Del. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team fell to host Delaware State Tuesday night in Memorial Hall, 57-43. The Colonels conclude their season-opening, eight-game road swing 3-5 overall.

Freshman Eric Stutz paced the Colonels with 13 points. His jumper right before halftime gave EKU its only lead of the game at 18-17.

The Hornets (3-3) began the second half with a 9-0 run and never looked back.

This was the first ever meeting between the two teams.

Eastern Kentucky now returns home to face Brescia in its home opener on Saturday, Dec. 3. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
