RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team will renew its series with NCAA Division I newcomer Northern Kentucky University tonight after a 31 year break in competition between the two squads.  Eastern Kentucky will look to continue its hot streak having won three of the last four matches.

The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.  Eastern Kentucky’s record is 7-13, and Northern Kentucky is 19-5.

After helping Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team to a pair of conference victories over the weekend, junior Ashley Edmond and sophomore Dena Ott were honored by the Ohio Valley Conference.  Edmond was named adidas OVC Offensive Player of the Week while Ott garnered the Adidas OVC Defensive Player of the Week award.

Ott continues to pace the Colonels with 5.29 digs per set and is ranked second in OVC.  

Northern Kentucky is led by Shelby Buschur who paces the team with 3.10 kills per set.
