EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team began a stretch of four straight road matches with a 3-0 loss to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Friday night.

The Cougars (7-9, 3-2 OVC) won by scores of 25-23, 25-20 and 25-18.

Ashley Edmond led EKU with seven kills to go along with 16 digs.  Kelsey Kuehner added three blocks.

SIU Edwardsville got 12 kills from Emma Anderson and 11 from Kristen Torre.  Kelsey Augustine contributed four blocks.  The Cougars held a 10-5 edge in blocks.

The Colonels will continue their road trip on Saturday at Eastern Illinois.  The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET.
