CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team fell at Eastern Illinois University, 3-1, on Saturday.

The Panthers (4-15, 1-5 OVC) won by scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-20 and 25-22.

Junior Ashley Edmond led the Colonels (4-12, 1-5 OVC) with 13 kills.  Kelsey Kuehner posted 10 kills and four blocks.

EIU was led by Reynae Hutchinson and Abby Saalfrank with 16 and 15 kills respectively.  Saalfrank also had 15 assists and 11 digs.  Hutchinson added five blocks.

The Panthers held an 11-7 edge in blocks and out-hit Eastern Kentucky.270 to .128.

The Colonels will be back in action on Friday at Tennessee Tech.  The match is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET.
