HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Eastern Kentucky University’s volleyball team was beaten 3-0 by Marshall University on Tuesday.
The Thundering Herd won by scores of 25-14, 25-19 and 25-15.
Sophomore
Alexis Plagens led the Colonels (3-7) with 10 kills. She made only two errors in 22 attempts for a .364 attack percentage.
Kelsey Kuehner had seven kills and a block.
Dena Ott and
Mallori Moffat both recorded double digit dig totals, finishing with 11 and 10 respectively.
Laura Der led Marshall (8-4) with 19 kills and a .457 hitting percentage. Jillian Shemanski had four block assists.
The Colonels will not play again until playing its first home match of the season on Sept. 21 against Tennessee State. The match will begin at 6 p.m.
