RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team will play its first two home games of the season this weekend. The Colonels take on Tennessee State University Friday at 6 p.m., and Belmont University Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Both matches will be played at McBrayer Arena on the EKU campus.

Kelsey Kuehner leads the team with 25 total blocks and is averaging 0.74 blocks per set.
Ashley Edmond has averaged 2.68 kills per set thus far and
Dena Ott has an average of 4.68 digs per set.
Eastern is 3-7 this season and has just one win in its last eight matches.
Tennessee State holds a 5-7 record coming into the contest. The Tigers’ Naomi Wells has averaged 3.93 kills per set and Britani Hathorn has a total of 14 service aces. Last year’s regular season series against Eastern brought a 2-0 winning record for the Tigers.
Belmont enters the weekend with a 4-9 record. The Bruins’ Alex Martin has 23 blocks this season. Allison McCoy has 71 total kills and is averaging 2.54 per set while Scarlet Gable has 105 kills this season and an average of 2.39 per set. The last time these teams met up was in 2006.
