The Eastern Kentucky University Dance Team will join the country’s top collegiate dancers at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., to participate in the UDA College National Championship this weekend. Teams from universities and colleges from across the country are scheduled to compete in the 2013 event.

The EKU Dance Team, led by Eastern Alum Marissa Parmer, will compete beginning on Saturday, Jan. 19 in the Division I Pom and Hip-Hop categories. The EKU Dance Team is holding an open practice and send-off celebration for their supporters on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Coliseum where they will perform both of their competition routines.  All family, friends and fans are welcome to attend.  The team will be selling team t-shirts to assist in the funding of their trip to the compeition.  If you would like to make a donation to the team, please contact Coach Parmer at marissa.parmer@eku.edu.
