RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team will host two Ohio Valley Conference opponents this weekend in Richmond. The Colonels will host SIU Edwardsville Friday and Eastern Illinois Saturday at McBrayer Arena.

Friday's match is set for 7 p.m. and Saturday's match is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The streaky Colonels (7-11, 1-3 OVC) look to add another win against the Cougars in Friday's match. The Colonels have dropped their previous three OVC matches. The Cougars (6-11, 2-2 OVC) have split their previous four matches, all of which were against conference opponents.

The Cougars are led by junior Chelsea Colclasure, averaging a conference-best 5.44 digs per set.

On Saturday, the Colonels will take on the Panthers of Eastern Illinois (9-8, 3-1 OVC). The Panthers have won three straight OVC matches, as the duo of Stephanie Arnold and Marah Bradbury has been vital for EIU.

Lee currently ranks second in the OVC, averaging 3.41 kills per set. Bradbury averages a conference-best 10.86 assists per set. The Panthers also have the OVC's leading blocker (1.03 per set) in senior Stephanie Arnold.

The Colonels will rely on senior Ashley Edmond and junior Alexis Plagens. The pair is currently ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, in the OVC in kills per set. Edmond averages 3.16, while Plagens averages 3.10 kills per set. Junior Dena Ott averages 4.34 digs per set, sixth best in the OVC.
