RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team will hit the road to take on Ohio Valley Conference opponents Jacksonville State on Friday and Tennessee Tech on Saturday.

The matches are scheduled for 8 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Jacksonville State (11-14, 4-6 OVC) has dropped its previous four matches, including a 3-1 loss to the Colonels (Oct. 19) in Richmond. The Gamecocks rank third in the OVC in digs (17.16 per set) and fifth in blocks (1.88 per set).

Junior Nicole Merget leads the Gamecocks with 0.99 blocks per set.

Tennessee Tech (5-15, 1-9 OVC) will rely on senior Ashleigh Hancock and sophomore Cody Dodd. Dodd ranks third in the OVC in service aces (.35 per set), while Hancock ranks tenth in assists (8.06 per set).

Eastern Kentucky won the previous meeting against the Golden Eagles (Oct. 18), 3-0 in Richmond.

The Colonels (13-13, 5-5 OVC) have won three of their last four conference matches heading into the weekend. Eastern Kentucky last defeated OVC opponent UT-Martin, 3-1 on Friday.

Senior Ashley Edmond ranks third in the OVC in kills and points, while junior Dena Ott ranks third in digs. Edmond averages 3.40 kills per set and 3.84 points per set, with Ott contributing 4.60 digs per set.

Junior Alexis Plagens averages 2.90 kills per set—tenth best in the OVC.
