RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team will host a key match against Ohio Valley Conference opponent Morehead State University at McBrayer Arena Tuesday.

Tuesday's match is set for 7 p.m.

The Colonels (16-14, 8-6 OVC) are fresh off an OVC win, beating Tennessee State University 3-1 at home last weekend and will finish the remainder of the regular season in Richmond.

Morehead State (23-6, 14-0 OVC) comes to Richmond after clinching its fourth consecutive OVC regular-season championship Saturday night with a 3-2 win over Belmont.

The Eagles also secured the right to host the OVC Tournament for the fourth straight season. Morehead State extended the nation's longest conference regular-season winning streak to 36 matches. The Eagles can tie the OVC record held by Southeast Missouri with their next league win.

Junior Cameron Colbey leads MSU with a .234 hitting percentage.

Eastern Kentucky will look to combat the Eagles with the duo of senior Ashley Edmond and junior Alexis Plagens. Edmond ranks third in the OVC, averaging 3.49 kills per set and points, 3.90 per set. Plagens is second on the team with 2.94 kills per set.

Junior Dena Ott ranks third in the OVC, averaging 4.68 digs per set.
