MOREHEAD, Ky. – Rivalry Week continues for the Eastern Kentucky men's basketball team when the Colonels make the short trip to face Morehead State on Saturday.

EKU (10-6, 1-2 OVC) will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak. The Eagles (11-6, 2-0 OVC) have won three in a row.
On Wednesday, Murray State came to Richmond and handed the Colonels a 77-64 loss, their first at home this season. Murray State's lead grew 18 points in the second half. Eastern made a final push to cut the deficit to eight with 2:31 left, but could get no closer.
EKU, which had shot better than 50 percent in each of its previous four games, only shot 42.6 percent (26-of-61) from the floor, including 36.7 percent in the first half. Junior
Corey Walden paced the Colonels with a season-high 24 points. Senior
Tarius Johnson chipped in with a season-best 16 points. Meanwhile, Eastern's top scoring threat, senior
Glenn Cosey, was held to a season-low five points.
Cosey is averaging 19.1 points per game this season. The last time he had a poor shooting night (3-for-13 at IPFW) he rebounded to tie an OVC record with 10 three-pointers and a career-high 34 points at Eastern Illinois. Walden is second on the team with an average of 13.1 points per game. He has made 51 percent of his shots from the field this season.
The trio Angelo Warner, Brent Arrington and Chad Posthumus lead the Eagles. Warner, a 6-foot-2 junior guard, leads the team in scoring (17.3 ppg), is second in rebounding (5.1 rpg) and leads the OVC in steals (2.5 spg). Arrington, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, averages 11.4 points per contest. Posthumus, a 6-foot-11 senior center, contributes 11.1 points and a conference-best 12.4 rebounds per game.
As a team, Morehead State (9.1) is second behind Eastern Kentucky (9.8) in the OVC in steals. The Eagles lead the league in rebounds per game (41.0) and rebound margin (+8.4). EKU is last in both categories. MSU has made only 29.5 percent of its three-pointers this season.
