RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team will play a non-conference game at Northern Kentucky University Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
 
EKU's record is 17-10 overall and 7-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Colonels and Jacksonville State University are tied for third in the conference. Eastern is second in the OVC in digs, averaging 16.26 per set.
 
The Colonels beat Tennessee Tech, 3-1, but fell to JSU in five games this past weekend.
 
EKUs' Rachel Vick had a team high of 15 kills and a .368 hitting percentage during the Tech game. She is third in the OVC with a .345 hitting percentage. Dena Ott led the game against the Golden Eagles with 33 digs. She leads the OVC, averaging 5.14 digs per set. Senior Alexis Plagens led both teams with 27 kills, against JSU. She is third in conference, averaging 3.37 kills per set. Vick added 20 kills against the Gamecocks. 
 
Northern Kentucky (14-7) beat Lipscomb in five Friday. NKU's Jenna Ruble led with 21 kills and Jayden Julian had 19 kills. Mel Steward added 21 digs. Steward is second in the Atlantic Sun Conference with 4.54 digs per set and third with 359 digs.
