RICHMOND, Ky. – Just one month from today, the Eastern Kentucky University football team kicks off the 2014 season at Robert Morris. The football team has finalized a handful of important dates for the preseason.
Players are set to report to campus this Friday, Aug. 1. The first official practice of the 2014 season is scheduled for the following day, Aug. 2.
Below are some more important football dates in August:
Thursday, Aug. 14 – Football Rally at Gillum's Sports Lounge (6 p.m.)
Thursday, Aug. 21 – Colonel Club Fish Fry at Roy Kidd Stadium (6:30 p.m.)
Saturday, Aug. 23 – Colonel Fan Day at Roy Kidd Stadium (5:30 p.m.)
The Eastern Kentucky football regular season schedule begins with a Thursday night road game at Robert Morris on Aug. 28. EKU's home opener is slated for Sept. 13 against Morehead State.
